VENICE- On Sunday, the Veneto region head Luca Zaia announced that the Venice Carnival’s last two days have been cancelled because of the coronavirus outbreak.
Zaia said that Sunday’s scheduled events in the lagoon city would go on as per plan but there shall be a ban of Venice Carnival’s evening events including sporting until and inclusive of March 1st.
The first two coronavirus cases in Venice were reported by Zaia as the officers struggled to prevent the spread of the virus across Northern Italy.
