Men’s doubles world No. 1 Robert Farah out of Australian Open

MELBOURNE- On Tuesday, tournament organisers announced that Robert Farah has withdrawn from Australian Open for personal reasons.

Canadian-born Colombian Robert Farah won Wimbledon and U.S. Open double titles earning him the title of being ‘world number one in men’s doubles’ with partner Juan Sebastian Cabal.

The pair pulled out from this week’s warmup event of the Adelaide International. They made their 2018 doubles final in Melbourne Park and earned the doubles team of the year title from ATP in 2019.

The decision was not related to an injury. Cabal may remain in Melbourne and play with another partner.
