The first-team squad of Paris Saint-Germain ( PSG ) has welcomed back their star player, Kylian Mbappé , following productive and positive discussions between the club and the player. However, reports from France indicate that Neymar could be on his way to Saudi Arabia in the near future.
Throughout the summer, there has been significant speculation about Mbappé’s future, as he expressed his preference for a move to Real Madrid. This resulted in a tense stand-off, leading to his exclusion from senior training. During PSG’s Ligue 1 season opener, which ended in a goalless draw against Lorient, Mbappé watched from the stands, while Neymar was also conspicuously absent from the match-day squad. Reports have linked Neymar with a possible transfer to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, and indications suggest that the 31-year-old Brazilian forward could wrap up the deal in the upcoming days.
Mbappé’s return to first-team training
On Sunday, PSG officially announced return of Kylian Mbappe to the first-team training. The club disclosed that they had engaged in fruitful discussions before the PSG-Lorient game and reinstated the young forward into the training squad. There’s a belief that Mbappé could potentially extend his contract with the club, as his current deal is due to expire next summer. Reports suggest he’s prepared to commit to PSG until 2025. This would enable the club to sell him to Real Madrid next summer, avoiding a free transfer situation in January.
Kylian Mbappé, PSG’s record holder for the all-time leading scorer with 212 goals in 260 appearances, might have a chance to join the squad in the upcoming match against Toulouse, with head coach Luis Enrique guiding the team.
Luis Enrique had expressed optimism before the Lorient fixture, anticipating a swift resolution to the impasse between PSG and Mbappé. He pointed out that they had successfully resolved similar situations in the past and voiced optimism about the club and the player reaching an agreement once again.
