Rapper and singer Sean Kingston, along with his mother, have been accused of committing over a million dollars in fraud in recent months, as per documents disclosed on Friday. They face charges of organized scheme to defraud, grand theft, identity theft, and related offenses, according to arrest warrants from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.

Their arrest came after a SWAT team raided Kingston’s rented mansion in suburban Fort Lauderdale. During the raid, authorities apprehended Turner, while they took Kingston into custody at Fort Irwin, an army training base in California, where he was performing.

Currently, authorities have detained Kingston, renowned for hits like “Beautiful Girls” and collaborations with Justin Bieber, in a California jail as he awaits extradition to Florida. Meanwhile, law enforcement is holding his mother in a Broward County jail on a $160,000 bond.

Their attorney stated that Sean Kingston would willingly return if permitted, saving the state the expenses of extradition. Regarding the charges, the attorney expressed confidence in a favorable resolution for both Kingston and his mother.

The warrants outline various alleged crimes committed by Kingston and Turner between October and March, including thefts of jewelry, funds from banks, and fraudulent transactions with businesses. Kingston, whose legal name is Kisean Anderson, was already under probation for trafficking stolen property, while his mother has a past conviction for bank fraud.

Furthermore, the duo has faced lawsuits in the past, including cases involving unpaid debts to sellers of customized watches and jewelers. In a recent lawsuit, a Florida entertainment systems company accused Kingston of failing to pay for a large television installed in his home, allegedly promising commercials featuring Bieber but failing to follow through.

The lawsuit clarified that Bieber had no involvement and Kingston had falsely used his name in negotiations.
