On Tuesday, Joe Jonas, the 34-year-old member of the Jonas Brothers, filed for divorce from Sophie Turner, the 27-year-old star known for her roles in “Game of Thrones” and “X-Men.” The divorce filing took place in Florida’s Miami-Dade County Court and cites the irretrievable breakdown of the marriage.
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner exchanged vows in a low-key ceremony at a Las Vegas wedding chapel on May 1, 2019, right after the Billboard Music Awards. Their wedding featured a performance by the country duo Dan + Shay. During their marriage, the couple welcomed two daughters into their family. Their first daughter, Willa, was born in 2020, and their second daughter, whose name remains undisclosed, was born in the following year.
According to the divorce documents, Joe Jonas is seeking joint custody of their two daughters. Additionally, the couple had a prenuptial agreement in place, which Jonas expects to be enforced.
Representatives for Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have not provided immediate comments regarding the divorce filing.
