Facebook-owned Meta is actively considering the launch of a new social network that could be a rival to Twitter. A spokesperson from Meta Platforms Inc stated that they are exploring the development of a standalone and decentralized social network for sharing text updates.
The spokesperson added that they see a potential for a dedicated platform where creators and public figures can share timely updates related to their interests.
These features of the app, which is similar to Twitter, will make it a rival to Twitter..Variety reported the news about Meta’s plans, highlighting the growing competition in the social media landscape.
