Beyoncé kicked off her Renaissance World Tour at Sweden’s Friends Arena. Thousands of fans or the BeyHive arrived at the Swedish capital of Stockholm to celebrate the opening show of Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour on Wednesday. The pop star performed for three hours and sang all 16 songs from the album at the opening show, which marked her live debut of this album.
“Renaissance” is the superstar’s first solo tour since 2016 and shares the namesake of her 2022 dance-centric album, the success of which landed Beyoncé at the top of the Grammy throne as the ceremony’s most decorated artist in history.
The singer opened the show with four straight ballads, including her 2003 hit track ‘Dangerously in Love’, an unconventional move by a singer from her debut solo album released 20 years ago. She also gave live debuts to the tracks like Cuff It, Virgo’s Groove, Break My Soul, and more.
Wednesday’s show sold out the 46,000 tickets available. And if the audience’s reaction remains consistent, the rest of the tour will be a hit.
Beyoncé Renaissance World Tour will continue with a second night in Stockholm. The North American phase of the tour will begin in Toronto on July 8 this year. She also announced that she will support students and entrepreneurs throughout the Renaissance World Tour by giving out a total of $ 2 million through her BeyGOOD Foundation, founded in 2013.
Beyoncé will perform at fifty-seven stadiums in more than 40 cities, including London, Paris, Barcelona and Toronto. Beyonce Renaissance World Tour will wrap up the tour on September 27th in New Orleans.
