MOTORIST champion Howard Cox, who has saved drivers billions of pounds in fuel expenses, will run against Sadiq Khan for Mayor of London.
The driving campaigner will take on the elected Labour leader. However, claiming to battle for the capital’s five million drivers.
He will abandon the contentious clean air Ultra Low Emission Zone. Which will cost non-compliant vehicles £12.50 per day and will be extended to all of Greater London at the end of August.
According to research, there are 1.2 million non-ULEZ compliance vehicles in the commuter belt that will be hit with catastrophic prices.
Analysts estimate that the controversial clean air zone extension. Which began in 2017, will cost the capital’s economy £500 million per year.
Cox to start campaign soon
The Reform Party candidate for City Hall will also dismantle current Low Traffic Neighbourhoods. As part of his campaign to minimise the number of automobiles passing through residential streets.
Motorists are restricted by barriers, traffic signs, and bollards. But supporters argue they are helping to combat climate change and increase the number of bicycles.
Mr Cox, who will begin his campaign tomorrow, claims that since 2010. He has halted more than £200 billion in planned tax increases to help keep fuel duty frozen.
He will promise to “Scrap Ulez, Cut Crime, and Ditch Khan” before the mayoral election in May of next year.
Last November, London Mayor Sadiq Khan announced the ULEZ expansion. Citing the need to combat air pollution, climate change, and traffic congestion.
When he made the statement, he emphasised that Londoners have been getting life-changing illnesses such as cancer and lung disease.
“Only Howard Cox can defeat Sadiq Khan,” stated Reform Party Leader Richard Tice. He is the only candidate who will get London moving by repealing all ULEZs and LTNs, and he has a sizable following among London drivers.
