King Charles III and Camilla, the queen consort, have arrived at Westminster Abbey. Their brief journey in the glittering Diamond Jubilee Coach from Buckingham Palace ended at Westminster Abbey. Where they will be anointed and crowned in a historic coronation ceremony.

Meanwhile, Prince George of Wales carried the Robe of State of King Charles III at the coronation. He’s the youngest future monarch to take part in a coronation.

The Sovereign’s Escort, which consists of around 160 men on horseback, is accompanying them. The military parade is led by the Household Cavalry Mounted Band.

It’s a significantly smaller procession than the one planned for the abbey’s return trip. Which will comprise 4,000 troops in a magnificent display of splendour.

The royal coach in which Charles and Camilla are going was built in 2012 to mark Queen Elizabeth II‘s 60th year on the throne. The parade lasted around 30 minutes.
