The American rock band, 30 Seconds to Mars, is preparing to release their first new music in five years on Monday, May 8.
Frontman Jared Leto, who gained attention for his recent Met Gala appearance dressed as Karl Lagerfeld’s cat, personally confirmed the release of the new track titled “Stuck” at the beginning of next week.
Jared Leto and his brother Shannon Leto, the band’s members, excited fans on social media by teasing a snippet of the song that showcased the lyrics “You’ve got me stuck with the way you move.”
Since their last album, “America,” released in 2018, the band has experienced changes, including the departure of guitarist Tomo Milicevic.
Jared Leto has dedicated his focus to his acting career, taking on notable roles in films such as “House of Gucci,” “Zack Snyder’s Justice League,” and “The Little Things,” while also having upcoming projects like “Haunted Mansion,” “Tron 3,” and “Adrift.”
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Leto brothers found themselves in one place for an extended period, which inspired Jared to write around 200 songs. He described it as a blessing and a time when they could create music due to the universe aligning their circumstances.
In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Jared Leto shared their abundance of new material, saying, “We have maybe two albums, maybe three, worth of material. And we’re going to start putting it out momentarily. I mean, really momentarily. So really excited.”
While releasing the album “America,” Leto acknowledged that it might be a while before the band released another record. However, he expressed that they would continue making music when they felt the need to create a collection of songs with a specific message
