According to officials, Russian missile strikes targeted many Ukrainian cities overnight, including the capital Kyiv.
In the city of Dnipro, at least two individuals were slain.
While Russian strikes hit Ukrainian cities and infrastructure on a regular basis last winter. Large assaults have tapered down in recent months. Kyiv had not been hit by a missile in over 50 days.

Missiles “killed civilians again in Dnipro,” city mayor Borys Filatov claimed on Telegram Friday. Adding that “a young woman and a three-year-old child died.”

“The enemy launched another missile attack on Kyiv after a 51-day pause,” claimed Sergey Popko. Commander of the city’s air defence forces, according to the city administration.

There were no recorded casualties or building damage.
Ukraine’s air defence system has been strengthened in recent months with the arrival of critical Western technology to the country’s war effort.
In particular, in April, Kyiv got advanced American Patriot systems.
