Entertainment industry reporters who attended a sneak peek of the upcoming DC superhero movie ” The Flash ” at CinemaCon on Tuesday left impressed. Many of them described it as “awesome” and “impressive.”
Warner Bros screened the ” The Flash “, directed by Andy Muschietti, for the first time to theater owners, exhibitors, and reporters attending the annual trade show and industry conference.
After the movie ended, the studio allowed viewers to share their reactions on social media, but they imposed an embargo on reviews until a later date.
Indiewire’s Brian Welk wrote that “it played very well,” while film critic Jordan Hoffman tweeted that it was “far more madcap than I expected.”
“The Playlist’s” Greg Ellwood called it “very good” and praised star Ezra Miller’s performance, while Scott Mantz declared it “one of the very best DC movies.”
Erik Davis of Fandango was particularly effusive, calling it “tremendous” and “without a doubt among the best superhero films ever made.”
The film tells the story of Barry Allen, who uses his superpowers to travel back in time in an attempt to save his parents, leading to unforeseen consequences.
Last year, Miller faced two arrests in Hawaii . The accusation of inappropriate behavior with a minor sparked much discussion about his personal life.
Despite this, the film is expected to be one of Warner Bros.’ biggest releases of the year, with a reported $200 million budget. It opens in theaters on June 16.
