The chosen one will live again. HBO Max, the new streaming service from Warner Bros, Discovery, announced today an original Harry Potter scripted television series with J.K. Rowling as Executive Producer. Apart, once produced, the series will be a faithful and authentic adaptation of the books. Which will be available on Max in the United States and abroad.
However, J.K.Rowling’s Harry Potter stories will be turned into a decade-long series. With each season dedicated to one of the seven books. Full of the wonderful detail, beloved characters, and dramatic settings. That fans have appreciated for over twenty-five years.
The Old Cast will be missed
A fresh cast will lead a new generation of fans. Meanwhile, the series will stand alongside the original classic and adored films. Which will be readily available for the foreseeable future. Produced in collaboration with Bront Film and TV, with Neil Blair and Ruth Kenley-Letts serving as Executive Producers alongside J.K. Rowling.
“The stories from each of Rowling’s Harry Potter books will become a decade-long series. Besides, produced with the same epic craft, love, and care this global franchise is known for,” the platform announced in a press release. Further, “The series will feature a new cast to lead a new generation of fandom. Full of fantastic detail, much-loved characters, and dramatic locations that Harry Potter fans have loved for over 25 years.”

Moreover, this would be the first television adaptation of the billion-dollar brand. Indeed Max’s intention appears to be to adapt one book per season.
J.K. Rowling, who has sparked outrage for her comments on the transgender community, including criticism from Daniel Radcliffe himself, will serve as an executive producer on the project.
