Security concerns grow in Belfast Street

Security concerns have grown in Northern Ireland since President Joe Biden arrived in Belfast last night. When police discovered pipe bombs in a graveyard in Londonderry. Despite the fact that the President has no plans to visit the town. A huge security operation has been put in place for his visit.

More than 300 additional police officers have been dispatched from the rest of the United Kingdom, and the Police Service Northern Ireland (PSNI) has constructed a “ring of steel” surrounding President Biden’s visit, warning of considerable traffic congestion in Belfast.

Yesterday, the day after an Easter Monday Republican commemoration, four suspected pipe bombs were discovered and seized from Creggan’s City Cemetery.

Petrol bombs were thrown at an armoured police van during the march, prompting the PSNI to call for calm.

The PSNI stated that no officers were hurt in the violent events, but that the police had not been alerted of the parade’s plans, making it illegal.
