Denmark celebrate semi-final place

The final whistle is blown.

That’s it! Denmark have booked their place in the final four at this tournament for the first time since that infamous 1992 tournament. The Czech Republic players drop to the turf, you sense they have given every last ounce of effort on this run. The Danish players rejoice at booking a semi-final place against either England or Ukraine at Wembley on Wednesday. The Czechs tried very hard to level the score following their goal at the beginning of the second half, but the Danish side was calm and collected in defence. Czech Republic struggled today to find an equaliser, resorting to anything they could in attack.
