The Danish players rejoice at booking a semi-final place against either England or Ukraine at Wembley on Wednesday. The Czechs tried very hard to level the score following their goal at the beginning of the second half, but the Danish side was calm and collected in defence. Czech Republic struggled today to find an equaliser, resorting to anything they could in attack.

Denmark goalscorer Thomas Delaney has been named as the Star of the Match. UEFA Technical Observer Dušan Fitzel said of the midfielder: “He scored the all-important first goal and worked hard in the middle. He was important for Denmark’s transition forward, and able to organise key areas in the middle of the pitch.”
