An unexpected surge in UK house prices reported in the past month

LONDON (UK) – There has been an unexpected increase in the British house price growth in the past month wherein it has risen to 6.9% in annual terms from 6.4% in January. The announcement was made by the mortgage lender Nationwide. In February alone, prices rose 0.7%, more than reversing a 0.2% decline in January.
