LONDON (UK) – Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero said he had no idea what the future held for him beyond the current season.
He joined City from Atletico Madrid in 2011 and will be out of contract at the end of the campaign. He is yet to ink a new agreement with the Premier League club.
When asked about the player’s future in November, City coach Pep Guardiola said: “He is a guy who deserves with the club fair talks to do what is the best for him, for the club and for everyone.”
The Argentine said he would take his time to decide on the next course of action.
“I finish my contract at the end of the season and I don’t know what I’ll do yet,” he said in a YouTube show Charlando Tranquilamente.
“I just want to play for the rest of the season and then we’ll see.”
A record scorer of City, Aguero could only make nine appearances in all events this season because of the pandemic and injuries. His last game was on January 3.
