LONDON (UK) – Prince Harry has resorted to legal action against a British newspaper for libel. He thus joins his wife, Meghan, who is also suing them for violating copyright protocol and data protection.
It is reported that Harry’s lawyers filed a libel action in November end over an article that appeared in Mail on Sunday in October.
The report said the prince had no touch with the Royal Marines, the navy commando force with which he had a formal relationship when he used to be a working royal, after relinquishing his duties earlier this year.
Before assuming the role of a full-time senior royal, Harry used to serve in the armed forces for a decade. He was appointed as Captain General Royal Marines by the Queen in 2017.
Harry had to relinquish his title as per a pact with his grandmother and other senior royals in March when he shifted to the US with his wife Meghan and son Archie. There were reports at that time he was upset over giving up his military ties which he deeply valued.
