LONDON (UK) – Manchester United said on Friday that it was probing a cyber attack on its systems and was working to minimise the disruption.
The club said its media channels, as well as the website and mobile app, were unaffected, adding that it was not aware of any personal data breach.
United said its cyber defenses have identified the attack and shut down the affected systems to prevent further damage and protect data.
“All critical systems required for matches to take place at Old Trafford remain secure and operational and tomorrow’s game against West Bromwich Albion will go ahead,” the club said.
