LONDON (UK) – In the 12 months to the end of September, EasyJet slid to a 1.27 billion pound ($1.68 billion) loss. This reveals the extent of the impact of the pandemic on the UK-based low-cost airline. In its quarter-century history, it has never clocked an annual loss.
At a time when Europe is experiencing the second wave of the virus, travel is at an all-time low. EasyJet said quarterly cash burn, one of the key indices scrutinised by investors, showed an improvement of 651 million pounds from 774 million pounds in the previous period.
