Thunberg’s tweet comes as riposte to Trump’s anger management taunt last year

STOCKHOLM (SWEDEN) – In what is seen as a tit-for-tat reaction, Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg tweeted late on Thursday that President Donald Trump should “chill” about the election. It was a riposte to his tweet last year when he mocked the teen over what he termed was her anger management issue.

Replying to Trump’s “STOP THE COUNT!” tweet, the 17-year-old said on Twitter, “So ridiculous. Donald must work on his Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Donald, Chill!”

It was like 1.2 million times so far and re-tweeted 266,000 times.

When Thunberg was named Time’s Person of the Year in 2019, he mocked her in the same manner for her pleas to countries across the world to take action to stop global warming.

“So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!” he wrote, commenting on a tweet by another person lauding her for bagging the Time prize.

For that tweet, she responded by upadating her Twitter biography to include: “A teenager working on her anger management problem. Currently chilling and watching a good old-fashioned movie with a friend.”
