PARIS (FRANCE) – Kylian Mbappe, the forward of Paris St Germain, will not take part in Wednesday’s Champions League match with RB Leipzig due to a hamstring problem, said the club on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old was injured during Saturday’s 3-0 Ligue 1 victory against Nantes and had to be taken from the ground during the closing part of the match.
“After going off during the game against Nantes with a right hamstring problem, Mbappe’s not available for the trip to Germany and the situation will be reassessed in 48 hours,” said PSG in a statement.
Coach Thomas Tuchel will have to do without the services of Neymar and Mauro Icardi because of injuries and the duo is expected to return only after this month’s international break.
