BERLIN (GERMANY) – German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Wednesday she would discuss with her European counterparts a response to Russia regarding the poisoning of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny with a banned nerve agent after the global chemical agency has reported on the case.
“We are now waiting for the results of the OPCW…and then we will discuss necessary reactions with European partners,” she said in parliament, referring to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), which is based in the Hague.
