PRAGUE (CZECH REPUBLIC) – According to data of the Czech Republic’s health ministry, the country recorded 2,394 new coronavirus infections on Wednesday. It is the second highest daily spurt since the outbreak of the pandemic.
New infections have doubled this month and it is the second fastest rate in Europe.
In a bid to stem the spread of the virus, authorities have reintroduced curbs such as mandatory face masks and stricter restrictions on opening hours for bars from Thursday.
