LONDON (UK) – Sale of new cars in the UK dipped last month by around 5% in annual terms, according to preliminary data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) on Friday.
Usually, sales are muted in August and the drop follows an 11% spurt in July, which is the first since showrooms reopened after the lockdown.
In order to get a clear picture of the trends in the car market, one has to wait until the end of this month as the economy is slowly recovering.
