Domino’s Group in UK appoints Neil Smith as permanent CFO

LONDON (UK) – Neil Smith, interim Chief Financial Officer of Domino’s Pizza Group in the UK, has been made permanent, said the group on Wednesday. He replaced David Bauernfeind, who met with a tragic end in a snorkelling mishap last year.

Former Taco Bell CFO Natalia Barsegiyan and Lynn Fordham, managing partner of private equity company Larchpoint Capital, were appointed as independent non-executive directors to the board.

Smith was earlier CFO of British pub operator Ei Group from 2011 until it was acquired by Stonegate Pub Company.

His appointment comes a few months after the group roped in former Costa Coffee CEO Dominic Paul as its head and Jim Beam maker Beam Suntory’s executive Matt Shattock as its chairman.

The new top brass has been tasked with supervising the firm’s loss-making international operations.
