STOCKHOLM (SWEDEN) – Climate activist Greta Thunberg is back in school after a gap year, during when she became the spokesperson of young people trying to save the planet from global warming.
The Swedish 17-year-old tweeted: “My gap year from school is over, and it feels so great to finally be back in school again!”
Thunberg has spent the last year discussing with politicians about rising global temperatures.
Thunberg said in an interview that people in power were not doing enough to hand over a decent future to coming generations.
She met German Chancellor Angela Merkel last week, and urged to do whatever it takes to fight the climate emergency.
