LONDON (UK) – The downturn in the travel segment has made TUI take the decision of shutting down 166 stores in the country and Ireland, leading to some job losses.
The travel firm announced on Thursday that after the closure, as many as 350 would remain in the retail network.
The company, which is based in Germany, said that it would move 70% of the 900 staff affected by the closures to homeworking sales and services roles and shift others to the remaining high street stores.
