LONDON (UK) – Kensington Palace late on Tuesday released photos of Prince George to mark his seventh birthday. The two photos show the son of Prince William and the grandson of Prince Charles flashing a gap-toothed smile. He is third in line to the throne.
The snaps were clicked earlier this month by George’s mother Duchess of Cambridge Kate.
Though the children of William and Kate are seldom seen in public, Kate publishes their photographs on rare occasions, which has become a sort of tradition.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to share two new photographs of Prince George ahead of his seventh birthday tomorrow,” the palace said in a statement without mentioning the location of the snaps.
In one photograph, George is seen in a dark green polo shirt with neatly combed hair while the other shows him in a t-shirt with a camouflage pattern and messy hair.
Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge was born in London’s St Mary’s Hospital in July 2013 and made his first public appearance a day later when his parents posed with him in front of the entrance before a crowd of photographers and television crew.
The young prince is expected to celebrate his birthday at home. Last year, the celebration was in the Caribbean island of Mustique.
He has a sister Charlotte who is five and a brother named Louis who is two.
