PARIS (FRANCE) – Disneyland Paris reopened to guests on Wednesday after a four-month closure due to the pandemic. Visitors wore face masks and social distancing was enforced in the park.
There was a steady stream of visitors in the morning. One group came wearing Mickey Mouse ears and danced with joy as they entered Europe’s most popular theme park.
Only advance bookings were encouraged and curbs were imposed on the number of visitors, who were told to keep a distance of one metre from others. Hand-washing facilities and sanitiser dispensers were set up across the park.
Rides where social distancing is difficult remain closed to visitors and so are playgrounds and make-up workshops.
Walt Disney World reopened two of its big parks in Orlando on Saturday despite a rise in infections in the state.
With the number of infections on the rise in Hong Kong, the firm decided to temporarily close its park there.
