LONDON (UK) – A solution to the unrest in Hong Kong must come from Hong Kong itself and not from China, according to British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab.
Raab also added that there was still time for China to reconsider the national security law which has been under a lot of scrutiny and has sparked protests in Hong Kong.
In the events from July 1 to Dec 31 2019, looking at the six-month report on Hong Kong, the following was said.
The solution to this unrest and its underlying causes must come from Hong Kong, and cannot be imposed from mainland China. Britain says the way through the current situation in Hong Kong is clear: all sides must invest in dialogue and reconciliation, underpinned by a robust, independent inquiry.”
