LONDON (Business) – British retailer Tesco announced that its chief financial officer Alan Stewart has put forth his resignation to retire on April 30 next year.
Stewart became part of Tesco in 2014 not long after an accounting scandal. Stewart played a crucial role in its successful turnaround.
Tesco’s CEO Dave Lewis will be leaving in October and be replaced by Ken Murphy. Tesco will also conduct a thorough search both internally and externally to identify a successor.
