AMSTERDAM (Business) – Approximately 100 workers on strike blocked the doors at Tata Steel’s main Ijmuiden plant.
The plant in the Netherlands saw the unplanned strike happening on Tuesday. A company spokesman however reported that the strike did not have an effect on production.
He did report that the council expected ‘major action’ soon.
Workers have been unhappy since last week following the departure of CEO Theo Henrar, an expected prelude to job cuts, prompting an angry response.
