STOCKHOLM (Europe) – The Swedish government plans to offer financial support to companies for revenues lost because of the coronavirus outbreak. This comes as part of a measure worth around 39 billion Swedish crowns ($3.96 billion).
“The aim is that the support will make it possible for companies to get through the acute phase of the crisis and at the same time to adjust and restructure their operations.”
– Swedish Government statement
Swedish Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson believes that the measure will bring the spending package to cushion coronavirus’ economic effects to around 170 billion crowns.
550-600 billion has also been offered in loans and guarantees.
