LONDON (UK) – Britain’s decisions on how to tackle the coronavirus spread were too slow and the government failed to learn enough from other countries, according to opposition Labour leader Keir Starmer.
Britain refrained from imposing stringent controls like other European countries initially to counter the coronavirus outbreak.
Starmer called the government to publish an exit strategy from the coronavirus nationwide lockdown which was imposed on March 23.
“I think that some of the decisions made in the last few weeks were too slow and didn’t learn quickly enough from other countries, let’s not repeat that.”
