LONDON (UK) – The coronavirus fight in Britain is a marathon, not a sprint and lifting lockdown measures might involve drugs and not just vaccines, according to the medical director of England’s National Health Service.
NHS England’s medical director Stephen Powis mentioned that vaccines were not the only part of a lockdown exit strategy.
“There is no magical solution that doesn’t require difficult decisions. This was never going to be a sprint over a few weeks; this is going to be longer, it is going to be a marathon.”
