LONDON (UK) – On Friday, England’s Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty stated that he would self-isolate at home over the next week after experiencing COVID-19-like symptoms.
Whitty worked closely with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who had recently been diagnosed with coronavirus.
Britain’s Health Secretary Matt Hancock said he had tested positive on Friday and was self-isolating.
53-year-old consultant physician and epidemiologist Whitty appeared with Johnson at the daily briefings from the government on the coronavirus crisis.
