On Friday, Apple asked its Silicon Valley headquarter employees to work from home as a precaution if possible.
Apple’s 12000-person campus in Apple Park is located in Santa Clara County. Santa Clara County officials told large companies to consider offering telecommute methods to their employees and other ways to limit close contact.
20 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed so far in the county as of March 5th.
Apple has also instructed its Seattle are employees to work from home.
The Apple retail stores in Santa Clara county remain open.
