American astronaut Christina Koch may have gotten numerous accolades from her 328-day record-breaking spaceflight, but the love that awaited her once she returned home was what seemed to be the most heartwarming.
Christina Koch posted a video on social media of her receiving a healthy dose of doggy love once home.
“Not sure who was more excited. Glad she remembers me after a year.”

In the video, her dog’s tail was wagging looking out the front door with her front paws rested on the window sill as Koch approached. On entering the house, she greets her with a good dose of face-licking.
Koch’s capsule landed in Kazakhstan on February 6th on completion of her historic trip to ISS after a 328-day mission was completed by her setting the record for the longest stay in space by a woman.
41-year-old Koch was an engineer who became part of NASA’s astronaut corps back in 2013 and she led the first all-female spacewalk in 2019.
