LONDON – On Wednesday, Britain said that it would impose a new duty of care to hold big tech companies responsible for the harmful content on their platforms.
Companies like Facebook, Google, Snap need to be more careful to better protect their users from such content.
The government stated that the duty of care shall be designed to make sure that all these companies will have the necessary systems and processes in order to react to concerns raised regarding this harmful content.
