FRANKFURT- Luxury carmaker Daimler’s cost-cutting measures are being intensified with plans to cut over 15,000 jobs according to German newspaper Handelsblatt.
In November, the German luxury carmaker had announced cutting at least 10,000 jobs as well as reducing staff costs by 1.4 billion euros by 2022 end. This number will be significantly exceeded.
On Tuesday, Daimler plans on announcing its expanded savings at its annual news conference adding that CEO Ola Kaellenius shall also reduce investments to those loss-making projects not belonging to the core business.
