BERLIN – On Monday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that she would be prepared to support changes to the EU’s Lisbon Treaty, which is the bloc’s legal cornerstone, stating that EU27 must become more competitive considering that Britain has left the bloc.
Merkel states that she can well imagine how necessary the treaty changes are. She went on the say that considering Britain’s exit from the bloc, they need to strengthen competitiveness and act more quickly.
