KIEV- On Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that the compensation offered by Iran to the families of those killed in the plane downed in Tehran last month was not enough.
Zelenskiy said Kiev was not satisfied with the compensation and are seeking larger payments.
Iran immediately offered $80,000 for each family which is too small an amount and he has assured the media that he shall press for a larger amount.
The airliner carrying 176 people was struck by a missile on January 8th shortly after its departure from Tehran. Iran admitted that the Ukraine International Airlines plane was shot down by them in error.
11 Ukrainians died on board.
