SHANGHAI/BEIJING- With the spread of the flu-like virus across China, many big businesses in the country are temporarily shutting down their stores and advising their staff to remain home and work.
The tally of deaths due to this virus has risen to 80 with over 2,700 people infected.
Longer holidays, event cancellations and quarantine imposition are also happening to brace for a long-term impact of extending the week-long Lunar New Year holidays for another three days.
Wuhan, the outbreak’s epicentre, is under virtual lockdown with curbs on movement.
