PARIS- Italian designer Giorgio Armani stuck to what he does best: the signature stern tailored fits- but now painted with a dash of colour for this haute couture collection unveiled in Paris on Tuesday.
The show was held in a former bank building keeping in theme with the buttoned-down look. This offers a stark contrast to the Chanel show earlier in the day depicting a whimsical herb garden.
The Armani Prive haute couture line boasted trouser suits and dressed tailored with straight lines and boxy shapes. The looks were accentuated by the models walking down the runway strutting with angular hairstyles.
The angularity was offset ever so poetically by lush silk fabrics and vivid colour. A favourite combination seemed to be magenta paired with cobalt blue.
