LONDON- On Thursday, Chelsea handed young defender Reece James a long-term contract to last till 2025.
The 20-year-old is one of the several young players to thrive Frank Lampard’s first season at Stamford Bridge, benefitting from the transfer ban which stopped the club from buying players.
His 18 appearances since his return from the loan at Wigan Athletic scored him his debut against Grimsby Town in the League Cup. He also netted in a 4-4 draw in the Champions League with Ajax Amsterdam.
James feels ecstatic playing with Chelsea and doing so for the next five and a half years is living the dream.
