Lukasz Fabianski will not be playing for up to two weeks because of scar tissue inflammation in his hip after his surgery.
The 34-year-old West Ham United goalkeeper underwent surgery for a muscle problem last September and was back in action late last year.
Scans confirmed that he suffered from scar tissue irritation, a common post-surgical complication.
West Ham’s medical head Richard Collinge said that it is in part good news as Lukasz’s condition has not aggravated or the previous injury has not recurred. Lukasz will be available after a couple of weeks once the inflammation settles down.
