SANDRINGHAM, England- After the Queen held crisis talks with Prince Harry and Meghan on Monday, she has reluctantly agreed to allow for their wish of a more independent future to resolve the Windsors’ widening rift.
Prince Harry and his American actress wife Meghan Markle will be in a transition period wherein they shall be splitting time between Britain and Canada in search of a lifestyle not riddled with royal duties and entirely reliant of public funding.
The furore ended after the 93-year old Queen Elizabeth held “constructive discussions” with her grandsons Prince Harry and Prince William and their father and next Heir to the throne Prince Charles. The talks were held at the Queen’s rural Sandringham estate located in eastern England.
In a few days, a final decision on the future of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shall be made.
The monarch says that her family and she are in complete support of the couple’s desire to create a new life as a young family. She expressed that although their presence and full-time commitment to being working members of the Royal family would have been preferred, their decision to live an independent life, while remaining to be a valued part of the family, is understood.
The statement is one that was considered to be highly unusual due to its informal and personal tone as it addressed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by their names rather than their titles.
