DUBAI- On Friday, a U.S. Navy destroyer in the North Arabian Sea was “aggressively approached” by a Russian Navy ship, according to the U.S. Navy’s Bahrain-based Fifth Fleet.

U.S. destroyer USS Farragut then sounded five short blasts requesting an alteration of course of the Russian ship, said the Fifth Fleet.

The request was initially refused by the Russian ship and then it altered its course setting enough distance between the two ships.
