LONDON- The wax figures of Prince Harry and wife Meghan have been removed from the British royal family display in the Madame Tussauds waxwork museum. This came in response to the couple’s announcement of the decision to step back from royal duties.
On Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their intention to divide time between the UK and North America, while taking a step back from their senior royal positions.
Madame Tussauds contains over 250 celebrity wax models. The museum announced that the two figures will be relocated to another section away from where those of Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Prince William and Kate are kept.
Steve Davies, the general manager of Madame Tussauds said that this is in reaction to the surprising news . The statues of Duke and Duchess of Sussex will still remain an important feature in Madame Tussauds, considering their popularity.
